High temperature processing

A combination of box and tube furnaces with varied volumes, temperature ranges and atmospheres are available. Most have a computer control interface with recorded temperature feedback. Tube and bottom loading box furnaces allow atmosphere modification. Some tube furnaces run under rough vacuum and allowing backfilling of tubes.

Allowed Atmospheres
Nitrogen ● Argon ● Air ● Oxygen ● Helium ● Forming Gas (≤ 5% Hydrogen / Nitrogen or Argon

Labware
Appropriate temperature rated labware should be utilized to hold/contain samples. A limited amount of labware is stocked and available for purchase.

Cross Contamination
Sample compositions are restricted to select furnaces to limit cross contamination. Not all material compositions are allowed.  Please discuss material compositions, contamination concerns and mitigation techniques with staff.
