Keynote Speaker: Dr. Andrew Read

Andrew Read is the Senior Vice President for Research at Penn State, Evan Pugh University Professor of Biology and Entomology, and formerly Eberly Professor of Biotechnology. As SVP, he oversees research across twelve colleges, seven research institutes, and the Applied Research Lab. Previously, he led the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, with initiatives in regenerative engineering, neuroscience, gerontology, microbiomes, and nutritional sciences. His own research focuses on antimicrobial resistance and vaccine escape. Andrew has authored over 250 publications and is an elected fellow of multiple societies and academies. He holds a PhD in evolutionary biology from Oxford University.
