Visa Requirements
  • Citizens of certain countries may be able to travel under the United States Visa Waiver Program without a visa, however you must be authorized through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization
  • If you live in a country that is not part of the United States Visa Waiver Program, you will require a B-1 Temporary Business Visa in order to enter the United States and attend the 2024 International Workshop on Acoustic Transduction Materials and Devices (IWATMD)
  • For information on how to obtain a B-1 Visa, please visit the Visitor Visa page on the U.S. Department of State website
  • The visa application process is the responsibility of the attendees. We do not provide assistance
Visa Invitation Letter Requirements
  • If you require an invitation letter for your visa application, please email Sandie Elder at sle34@psu.edu and include the following information:
    • Name, Presentation Title, Permanent Institution or Organizational Affiliation
      (If you are no longer a visiting professor, visiting scientist, visiting researcher, or visiting student in a United States academic institution, you are not permitted to provide or use any physical address, mailing address or email address associated with that former institution when providing your permanent affiliation information)
  • Requirements:
    Before you can receive a visa invitation letter:
    - You must submit an abstract, AND

    - Your conference registration must be completed and paid in-full
