For instance, quantum algorithms can accelerate machine learning tasks such as optimization and molecular simulation, while AI can help design and control quantum systems, pushing quantum hardware closer to practical deployment. This convergence opens unique opportunities for advancing research and training the next generation of scientists and engineers at the intersection of these fields. These opportunities must be weighed against sustainability concerns, and this talk will explore these converging trajectories, opportunities they create, and the sustainability challenges that will shape their long-term impact.
