Leveraging decades of experience providing hands-on training across a wide range of analytical instrumentation, MCL has launched a transformative SEM training curriculum that reduces training costs, greatly increases hands-on microscope time, and streamlines progression to FESEMs when advanced capabilities are needed. This approach gives trainees significantly more time operating the microscope themselves, which is essential for building confidence, competence, and good microscopy habits. Rather than spending most of their training observing an expert, users develop skills through guided practice, reinforcing key SEM concepts through repetition and experience. Once users have mastered the fundamentals, they can transition to MCL's field emission SEMs with a stronger understanding of imaging and analysis principles. Because all SEMs in MCL share a common user interface and detector architecture, this structured training pathway simplifies advancement to more sophisticated instruments while preparing users to perform higher-quality microscopy on their own samples.
