The Two-Dimensional Crystal Consortium Materials Innovation Platform (2DCC-MIP) Resident Scholar Visitor Program (RSVP) is a training and professional development opportunity for graduate students and early career researchers from outside Penn State to receive hands-on training at the 2DCC-MIP facility for extended periods. The 2025 RSVP season is in full swing, and MRI will host seven RSVP visiting scholars this summer from Kenyon College, Florida State University, the Rochester Institute of Technology, the University of Alabama, the University of Iowa, Florida International University, and the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign.
RSVP visits typically last two weeks to three months depending on the applicant’s needs and interests. Visitors focus on hands-on training on thin film deposition, 2D material processing, bulk crystal growth, and computational modeling.
