October 3, 2017: Particle Characterization - Size, shape & so much more!

Malvern-PANalytical/MCL Workshop

Workshop Description

The physical properties of materials can influence a wide range of behaviors such as flowability, reaction and dissolution rates or the effectiveness of an abrasive material. In manufacturing and development properties such as particle size, particle shape, and zeta potential are often measured to better control product quality as well as to improve the understanding of products, ingredients, and processes.

The aim of this one day complimentary workshop is to provide basic grounding and practical guidance for the main particle characterization techniques currently used in industry and academia. Measurements by laser diffraction, automated imaging, and dynamic light scattering will be discussed through interactive lectures covering information from basic theory and instrumentation to method development and optimization.
