Began undergraduate studies at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, TN while working at Oak Ridge National Laboratory at the material science lab. Transferred to Tennessee Tech and graduated only to go back to Oak Ridge National Lab to work in metal additive manufacturing at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility and gained experience in metallurgy and analyzed microstructures of Ni alloys for aviation and gas turbines with respect to printing parameter optimizations. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Additive Manufacturing and Design at Penn State in order to work in the metal 3D printing industry. Also currently lab space manager of sample preparation lab for characterization techniques.
