About Kat

Dr. Crispin has experience working with a wide variety of materials, including geological specimens, ceramics, metals and alloys, meteorites, minerals, piezoelectric crystals, polymers, thin (thick) films, and glasses.  She has served as a Director of the MicroAnalysis Society, co-chaired the Microscopy & Microanalysis Conference in 2017, and been an Associate Editor of American Mineralogist.  She belongs to many professional organizations and is an active participant in many of these societies, serving on various committees.  In her spare time, she serves as the Administrative Vice President of the National Speleological Society.
