As part of our mission, MRI provides financial support to faculty and departments to fund equipment purchases, research, and co-fund faculty positions. Seed grants provide financial support to individual faculty members or teams to obtain preliminary results with the intention of writing a full proposal to a funding agency. Faculty co-funding provides opportunities for departments and faculty to enhance materials research by partially supporting the efforts of faculty members vested in materials research.
