Mission:
The mission of MRI is to coordinate, support, and sponsor important and significant advances in materials science, engineering, and technology that touch on every aspect of our lives. Our expertise impacts areas such as communications, computing, energy, manufacturing, health care, and transportation. MRI provides to outstanding people from various disciplines an environment where they can work collaboratively to solve major technological and societal problems. At the same time, we are educating the next generation of highly qualified scientists and engineers to solve future problems and expand the frontiers of science as we know them today.
