AD54 Requirements for Web Pages

The following minimum standards apply to all Web sites and pages hosted on any PSU server,( i.e., any site which ends in .psu.edu):

1. All pages must carry the Penn State shield in the upper left hand corner. See the Web Style Guide for exact size and placement.
• The Penn State shield must be linked to http://www.psu.edu/ and must have and ALT tag of either "Penn State" or "The Pennsylvania State Univeristy"
  
  
2. All sites must have the Google Search Appliance
   
   
3. All sites must have a clear link to the Penn State's Search page ( http://www.psu.edu/ur/search.html ) located near the Google Search Appliance
   
   
4. All sites must have a directory or people page with clear contact information
   
   
5. All site content shall comply with W3C and Section 508 standards and accessibility requirements (level 1 priority).
   
   
6. All sites must maintain site-wide consistency with regard to design, navigation, location of the Penn State Mark, search elements, etc..
   
   
7. All site must have a footer which contains:
• links to PSU's copyright, affirmative action, and alternative media statements
• a current copyright date (preferred format: Copyright © 2007 The Pennsylvania State University - Your Department)
  
  
8. All sites should include an online contact form
