RESEARCH
Professor Dickey's research interests include:
- interface and grain boundary phenomena
- nanomaterials
- electron microscopy
- infrared imaging materials
- high temperature and advanced ceramics
- electrolytic capacitors
Her research group studies materials systems in which the macroscopic physical properties (mechanical, dielectric, thermal, etc.) are governed by the grain boundaries or internal interfaces in the material. Her research involves using an array of analytical techniques, in particular electron microscopy and spectroscopy, to understand the structure and chemistry of internal interfaces.
