Particle Characterization Lab
Description
Through the quantification of such properties as particle size, surface area, pore size, particle density, and viscosity, one can establish, interpret, or forecast processing, fabrication and sintering relationships. The particle characteristics of a material greatly influence many other chemical and physical characteristics including: stability, chemical reactivity, opacity, dissolution rates and material strength. In the Particle Characterization Laboratory, these characteristics and properties can be measured and quantified. The following instruments are present in the PCL.
