Moving Sponsored Research to the Commercial Arena

An Expanded Funding Opportunity
From the Life Sciences Greenhouse of Central Pennsylvania
September 29, 4:00 p.m.
At the Penn Stater, Senate Suites

The goal of the Life Sciences Greenhouse of Central PA (LSGPA) is to focus and accelerate the development of life sciences technologies, to develop new startup companies, and to enhance existing companies in central Pennsylvania. To accomplish this, LSGPA has established a Technology Development Fund to help commercialize discoveries in the Life Sciences.

The Fund will provide up to $250,000 with the goal of moving the results of sponsored research to the commercial arena. Areas of specific focus include: mid-to-late stage drug design, drug delivery systems, biomedical devices, biopharmaceutical manufacturing innovation, drug assay/detection/screening systems, and bionanotechnology. Types of projects to be supported by the Fund include development of prototypes, validating proof of principle or concept, or investigating feasibility of commercialization.

You are invited to learn more about the Greenhouse and LSGPA's funding opportunities on September 29 at 4:00 p.m., at the Penn Stater. For more information contact: Dan Leri at (814) 863-6301 or drl5@psu.edu.

Note: Previous Technology Development Fund Awardees may be eligible for this expanded Fund, and applications will now be accepted on a rolling basis.
