Bill has a B.A.in Humanities/ Science from Villanova University (1971), a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology (1980) and an M.S. in Materials Science from Stevens Institute of Technology (1984). He previous career, at Bell Labs, spanned over twenty five years where most recently he was a Technical Manager in the Nanofabrication Research Department.
Background/Bio:
Bill resides in State College but continues to maintain residences in New Jersey, where his wife Mary Beth lives and Maine. His three children, Gretchen, Kevin and Tim live and work in Franklin, MA, Boston, MA and New York, NY respectively. He is an avid sports fan and loves the outdoors. He enjoys running, hiking, biking, snowboarding as well as fishing and sailing. In addition, he enjoys reading good history books, tracing his family history and spending time with family and friends.
Responsibilities:
As Director of Operations, Billl oversees day-to-day operations of the nanofabrication laboratory. He also manages a technical and administrative staff of 12 in a cleanroom environment. In addition he also assists with training and development of custom processes.
