Accomplishments/Education:

Kathy is a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School in Business. She was employed as a pre-school teacher with the Head Start Program thru Cen-Clear Child Services for 5 years. She worked in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences for 15 years, in many capacities. For the past four years she has been working for the Particulate Materials Cente

Background/Bio:

Kathy is a lifelong resident of Howard, PA. Married for 27 years to Ed who is employed at Cerro Copper and Brass. She has 4 sons and 6 grandchildren, with the hope of many more to come. Kathy enjoys riding her 2003 - (883) Harley with her husband and their friends, going camping, and traveling to Maryland to visit her son, Joe and his wife and their daughter, McKenna. She has a son that lives in Colorado (with his wife and two daughters), one in State College who has a daughter that lives in Virginia, and a son that lives in Lamar.

Responsibilities:

Kathy provides a full range of program support services to include manuscript preparation, conference/workshop organization, communications, and travel arrangements to the Director and members of the Particulate Materials Center. She aides in the preparation of scientific manuscripts, conference proceedings, and grant proposals. Kathy also works with budgeting, site selection, planning, publicity, mailings, and publications for conferences and workshops hosted by Penn State.
