Research Synopsis:

Materials design and micro-structure-property-functional relationship: ferroelectric and related electroactive materials, especially polymers and composites, novel materials; phase transition phenomena; polymer thin films, interface phenomena, and nano-systems; piezoelectric and electrostriction; electro-optic and acousto-optic materials, photonic crystals; pyroelectric and electro-caloric effects.
