Research Synopsis:

Susan Trolier-McKinstry's group works in three main areas: 1) thin films for on and off-chip capacitors and piezoelectric sensors and actuators in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), 2) spectroscopic ellipsometry to track buried interfaces and surfaces of electroceramic materials , and 3) templated grain growth of textured piezoelectric ceramics.
