Accomplishments/Education:

Steven has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University (1984). Upon graduation, his continued involvement in Christian campus ministry led him to assume responsibilities as an associate pastor of a local church in State College. After 12 years of Christian service as a licensed minister he joined MRL as a Research Assistant for the Center for Dielectric Studies, first part time in 1996-1997, and then full time in 1998. Steven also is a certified automobile mechanic and maintains his Pennsylvania Safety Inspection License

Background/Bio:

Steven resides in State College with his wife, Marcy, and two sons, Christopher and Jonathan. He is an active member at Christ Community Church where he is a musician (guitar, drums) and one of their worship leaders. Steve also enjoys coaching his sons' soccer and basketball teams and playing with the horde of neighborhood kids in his backyard. Working on cars is therapeutic.

Responsibilities:

His responsibilities include microwave frequency characterization of materials, microwave measurement lab oversight and maintenance, the design and maintenance of atmospheric furnaces, HALT testing, and support for various CDS projects.
