Accomplishments/Education:

Jerry is a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School and attended classes at Penn State University. Following an extensive career in restaurant management, he enrolled as a student at South Hills Business School. In 1994 he received a diploma for completion of the Computers Plus program with an emphasis in accounting. Later that same year he joined Penn State to work in the main office of the Materials Research Laboratory. In 1996 he switched his emphasis to proposal and grant processing in the MRL Contracts Office, where he has worked since that time

Background/Bio:

Jerry and his family reside in Bellefonte. He has been involved in various area youth sports programs as a coach, umpire and referee. Jerry enjoys spending time with his family, walking/running, attending school sporting events and watching movies.

Responsibilities:

Jerry has a variety of duties focusing around proposals, grants and contracts, which include: New proposal preparation and submission, establishing accounts for new research projects and budgeting new and incremental awards into the University electronic accounting system, assisting with processing of no-cost extension requests, annual and final reports, and other correspondence with sponsor agencies, and maintaining the MRI contract files and a corresponding database of contract activity on MRI research projects.
