Compact Ultrasonic Motors
A flat and wide structure (Windmill type), a PZT tube and a metal tube types are the primary targets for development. Motors as small as 1.5 mm f have been developed with the maximum torque of 1 mNm, which will be utilized for medical micro surgery (Photo 1).
