New Website Promostes Nanotechnology at Penn State
Science and engineering at the nanoscale, the size range of atoms and molecules, takes place in more than 30 locations across the University Park campus and involves close to 100 faculty. This concentration of nanoscale researchers makes Penn State one of the nation's leading nanotechnology research institutions. To provide a glimpse into some of that science, and the technology that is produced as a reesult, the Materials Research Institute has developed the Nano@Penn State website, located at www.gonano.psu.edu.
This first University-wide nanotechnolgy website is designed as a portal to the diverse resources related to Penn State's nano research, education, faculty, facilities, and commercial opportunities. The new site features videos from several of Pann State's top nanotechnolgy scientists explaining their research at the nanoscale, and the implications for health, energy, and national security. The site also features overviews of 12 research areas in which Penn State faculty are making significant contributions to the understanding and implementation of nanoscale science and engineering.
To promote the website, and to enhance the visibility of Penn State's expertise in nanoscale science and engineering, we have created a 12-page full-color brochure. A PDF of the brochure can be downloaded from the Nano@Penn State website.
