LISTSERV E-Mail Distribution Lists

 

MRI has spent considerable time in reviewing its lines of communication and restructured the LISTSERV mailing lists as follows to create a more user friendly structure. Please take a few moments and review the new structure.  Items in red are designated "SUPER LISTS," meaning that all lists under it are part of that list. For example, if you were to send to L-MRI-ORG, it would go to all of the lists that fall under section I.  If you just wanted to send to those folks categorized as faculty, you would send to L-MRI-Faculty and it would go to both the Academic and Research list within Faculty.
 
Some of the SUPER lists are closed, meaning information sent to them must have approval for distribution.  All lists will return a message to the sender upon receiving e-mail.  If you are authorized to send to that list, you’ll be asked to click a link, verifying that you did, indeed, mean to send your message.  If the list requires approval by a moderator, that will be noted in the response.  Most of the lists are structured to permit any and all members of the list to send messages without moderator approval, but please note that if you are not a member of the list, your message will be sent to the list’s moderator and may or may not be approved for distribution.
